Hed

The second major project for my 3D Studio Art class, the modelled self-portrait. We took all kinds of measurements of our heads, then carved the basic shape of it out of styrafoam. Then we added plastecine to build up and refine our features. I had some trouble with shaping the head itself; the sides are too flat and long, and my face is a bit too long. The eyes are also wonky; those were the hardest to carve. I think I got my lips right, though, and my nose is pretty close too.
